About Sahar
Profile
A passionate and committed dance instructor mastering all kinds of dance, and keen to share her knowledge and acquired techniques with students, by running stimulating, challenging and varied extra-curricular dance programs and bootcamps for all ages in her school “Sahar Dance School”.
Sahar teached and performed in many international dance festivals around the globe, in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Milano, Rome, Istanbul, Cyprus, Jordan, Amsterdam, Greece, Croatia, China, Dubai, Romania and more.
She is a Lead choreographer with extensive expertise in Argentine Tango, ballroom, social dancing such as Salsa ON1 & Mambo ON2, Bachata, Kizomba, Pachanga, HipHop, Reggaeton, Afrohouse, Contemporary Jazz, folklore Dabkeh, footwork, styling, stretching, flexibility and lyrical.
Sahar is a judge in the “IDO” – International Dance Organization and an official member of the “CID” – International Dance Council that allows her to certify dancers as professional
My Tango experience
Over the years, my journey in Argentine Tango has been a rich tapestry of both learning and teaching experiences. Argentine Tango, for me, is more than just a dance; it’s a profound language of connection, subtlety, and expression. My initial years were filled with fascination and respect for the intricate movements, the musicality, and the unique connection Tango demands between partners. As I deepened my knowledge, I became aware of the depth that Argentine Tango brings to one’s awareness of self and others—a quality I strive to share with my students.
At my school, I aim to create a welcoming space where each student can explore their unique Tango journey. My teaching style emphasizes the core values of Argentine Tango: connection, balance, and musical interpretation. I focus on the importance of a grounded embrace and encourage my students to feel and respond to the music, rather than merely execute steps. Technique and footwork are essential, of course, but I prioritize the relationship between the partners and how they move as one within the music. This approach not only brings out the soul of Tango but also allows each dancer to find their own voice within the dance.
Through years of teaching, I’ve come to understand that Tango isn’t learned overnight. It’s a continual exploration of trust, patience, and subtlety, and I’m honored to guide my students in developing these skills. Watching them grow, embodying the beauty and depth of Argentine Tango, is one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
